Our Cal-CM Plus products are derived from mined anhydrite calcium sulfate, and hydrated calcium sulfate from our mines near Carson City, Nevada. Cal-CM Plus pelletized products are bound together with a water-soluble binder that will dissolve with the addition of rain or irrigation.
Cal-CM Plus Calcium Sulfate
This product is primarily comprised of anhydrite, a form of gypsum. This mineral provides a more concentrated source of calcium sulfate and is mined in Nevada. These reserves at the Adams Claim Mine in Carson City, NV surpass six million tons, and the company has additional calcium sulfate reserves of more than eight million tons approximately sixty miles to the east. It is available regionally in mini and standard prilled pellets for ease of spreading, solution grade for irrigation systems, or 1/8" ag fines for bulk spreaders.
Cal-CM Plus Limestone
Cal-CM Plus Limestone products are derived from a pure calcitic limestone with no detectable magnesium. Cal-CM Plus Limestone is primarily used for neutralizing acidic soils (low pH), thereby improving uptake of essential plant nutrients. Limestone is mined from quarries throughout Washington, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas and Kansas. It is available regionally in mini and standard prilled pellets for ease of spreading, and throughout the central and western states, or 1/8" ag fines for bulk spreaders.
